5 Causes of Eye Wrinkles That You Should Never Ignore

Skin around eyes is the most delicate skin of our body. It is as thin as 0.05mm, and it is very easy to grow fine lines and wrinkles there. In general, under eye wrinkles will appear in 30’s, while forehead wrinkles will do in 40’s. Do you want to know what exactly causes these eye wrinkles?

Causes of Eye Wrinkles

1) Congenial reason

Due to the matter of fact, eye skin is congenially vulnerable to wrinkles. It is sad to know that eye skin is the thinnest skin of our body, and it is just 0.05mm thin. Not difficult to see it logically that it is the first and easiest attack point to develop wrinkles. What’s more, as there are very few sebaceous glands and sweat glands around eye skin, so there is literally no natural secretion to moisturize it, as the other part of skin will do, and hence eye skin will lose elasticity and will be so easily prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

2) Age problem

As our age grows, our growth hormone which controls our skin tissue growth and skin repair ability will drop accordingly at the age of 25. Together with free radicals which will increase as age grows, it damages the skin tissue and causes the loss of function in skin, and thus accelerates aging process and produce fine lines and wrinkles.

3) Blink Eye hurts

Yes, it is the reflex action that makes you wrinkles. It is because you have repeatedly opened and closed your eyelids for over 11,520 times a day, causing little fine lines on eye skin day by day. At young age, you literally don’t know their existence. While you blink your eyes as the most natural reflex action of human being, you are forming fine lines and wrinkles with this eye blinking.

4) Excessive Facial Expression

Facial expression is the indispensable way of non verbal communications, however, it is this kind of expressions that require your eye skin and facial skin muscles to motion, stretch and fold continuously, and prone to fine lines and wrinkles. Even when you smile, laugh, frown, cry and get angry, you are costing yourself fine lines and wrinkles. But how come we stop smiling and laughing? It is quite a paradox.

5) UVA and UVB hurt

Ultraviolet radiation UVA and UVB from sunlight is another major cause of wrinkle. UVA and UVB will make severe damage to the dermis and cause the mutation of collagen and elastin protein which are originally the foundations of beautiful skin. This kind of mutation can be recovered and repaired, and the direct result is wrinkles forming.
