5 Oily Skin Care Tips For Smooth, Glowing Skin

Do you suffer from oily skin? Have you tried all of the brand name oily skincare products, which didn’t cure your greasy skin?

Follow these 5 tips and you will soon be on your way to a smooth, glowing and oil free complexion.

1. Hydrate Yourself – Drink More Water

I can’t stress this enough – drinking plenty of water will do more for your oily skin that almost anything else I suggest!

My general rule of thumb is that if you do not need the bathroom at least once an hour, you are not drinking enough water. When your skin is hydrated, it becomes firmer, smoother and less greasy.

2. Antioxidant Rich Food – Eat More of It

Your skin needs antioxidants to fight free radical skin damage. Start with delicious and nutritious blueberries as they are chock full of antioxidants and taste superb too!

You should also be getting plenty of dark green, leafy vegetables such as spinach and broccoli in your diet. Not only will you be less oily, you will also reverse the signs of aging and look younger.

3. Stop Eating So Much Crap

They say that you are what you eat, and if all you eat is fast food, deep fried and sugary snacks, then your skin will be oily.

Start eating healthier meals such as tuna, salmon or grilled chicken breasts. Cut out all white flour products like bread and pasta and instead eat plenty of legumes. Lentils, quinoa, and pinto beans are all delicious and will provide much more nutrients with a lot less sugar.

4. Exercise Regularly

One of the best ways to clear out your pores is to exercise regularly. This isn’t a commonly suggested oily skin care tip but sweating a lot will remove all the dirt and grime that builds up in your skin, which causes the greasy complexion.

I like to do short, explosive interval sprints, but you can do whatever you like as long as it gets you sweating.

5. Use Natural Skin Care Products

Sometimes, you do all of the above and it’s just not enough. Your greasy skin persists. In that case, you should start looking for natural oily skincare products.

Believe it or not, some of the best skin care ingredients for a greasy complexion can be found in anti aging products. Because they are natural, they work with your body to heal the root cause. Look for ingredients like Cynergy TK, Phytessence Wakame, natural vitamin E and grape seed oil as these ingredients will most definitely help alleviate your problem skin.
