All About Acne

Acne is most common during adolescence, affecting more than 85% of teenagers, and frequently continues into adulthood. Acne treatment (naturally at home or otherwise) is the most sought after treatment among the younger generation. Acne is a common and chronic skin disorder. It is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. The lesions are usually found on the skin of the face, neck, chest and shoulders. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have it. Wrong eating habits can be the root cause for all types of acne. Chronic constipation is another cause of acne vulgaris.

The extra efforts of the skin to eliminate excess waste result in acne and other forms of skin diseases. Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, this only adds to the problem if oily skin already exist. There are many types of pimples such as whiteheads (stay under the surface of the skin), Blackheads , Papules , Pustules , Nodules and Cysts (deep, painful, can cause scars). There are over half a dozen types of acne, the most common being blackheads. The areas chiefly affected are the forehead, temples, cheeks, chin, chest and back. In rare cases, almost the entire body may be covered with acne accompanied by extensive scarring. People have come up with some pretty inventive home remedies for zits.

Some home remedies for pimples have included potatoes, vinegar and lemon juice, toothpaste, garlic, lime juice and basil. Wash your face twice a day in hot salty water. Apply fresh mint juice over the face every night for the treatment of acne, pimples, insect stings, eczema, scabies, & other skin infections. Aloe Vera juice applied twice a day can greatly speed up the healing of acne lesions. Homemade Acne Treatment with orange peel has been found very effective. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Eat healthy Be healthy. One of the useful home remedies for acne. Apply a paste of ground black cumin seeds and vinegar to affected areas. Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably better. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.
