From Acne Cure to Baby Clear Skin – Part 1

Once you start your acne cure treatment you have begun your journey to better and clearer skin. You have a choice to move on to clearer and flawless skin. Follow this guide to make the transition from acne sufferer to having baby-clear flawless skin.

Step 1. Determine your skin type

Knowing your skin type helps you to know how to treat your skin and select the right products. If you have been treating acne you are likely to know your skin type already. If you do not, follow these steps:

a. To remove oil and dirt Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry. If you had make-up on use a make-up remover.

b. Wait for about an hour for your skin to return to its normal state. Don’t do any work or touch your face within the hour.

c. Dab your face with tissue especially your forehead and nose.

d. Skin types-

For normal type the tissue is supple and smooth.

For oily skin the tissue is greasy.

For dry skin the tissue may show flakes of dead skin. The skin feels taut.

Combination skin is most common. It exhibits traits of all three of the above skin types.

Step 2. Keep your skin clean

Even if you don’t use much make-up, your skin is being subjected to all sorts of elements of pollution and chemicals on a daily basis. Clean skin is an essential part of curing acne and the cleaning needs special care.Washing your face with a soap enriched with Aloe Vera can help you tremendously. You could also try cleaning your skin with apple cider, vinegar or lemon juice.

Find skin care products that match your skin type. Use your face wash every day. You will not see a difference if you only use it once a week. Use your scrub only every few days as to avoid scrubbing off too much skin and causing acne breakouts.

Step 3. Wash off your make-up

Make sure you wash off your make-up before bed every night. You might require some make-up remover. Lots of women make the mistake of going to sleep with their makeup on. Doing so can block pores, leaving oil trapped inside. This leads to bacteria buildup and, acne breakouts.

Step 4. Hydrate your skin

No matter what type of skin you possess, moisturizing is important. Moisturizing creams are made basically of water and oil. Moisturizing creams feed back the moisture loss caused by the drying effects of the environment heat, wind, cold, pollution etc. Moisturizing reduces irritation due to dryness hence preventing acne. Get the type of moisturizer designed for your skin type.

Step 5. Balanced diet and adequate water

Eating the right foods is essential to having an acne-free beautiful skin. You can feed and nurture your skin to beauty, if you make the right choices in what you nurture yourself with. Take a multivitamin daily. Eat many fresh (organic, preferably) fruits and vegetables. Drink at least eight cups of water daily. Limit your alcohol, sugar and processed foods intake, they are non-beautifiers. If you desire flawless skin, smoking is definitely out of the question. Smoking literally suffocates the skin. Avoid greasy foods and foods with caffeine.
