How to Get Rid of Pimples Fast – 6 Step Overnight Acne Treatment

Photos coming up? Prom or school dance to go to? Special date in the next 24 hrs? This proven 6 step process will get rid of a problem pimple overnight!

Step 0: Do not Pop your Pimple!

I just added this pre-step in as some people can get so frustrated with their pimples that they simply pop them. This can make your problem worse. It will also reduce the effectiveness of the following 6 steps.

Step 1: Prepare your Ice Pack

Crush up some ice. If you have multiple pimples or a ‘pimple zone’ then increase the amount of ice. Crush the ice up and place it inside some aluminium foil. Place the aluminium foil ice pack inside a zip lock sandwich or freezer bag. The intent here is to have the pack as cold as possible. Place the pack back in the freezer. Do this just before step two otherwise your ice will freeze back into a solid lump. You want a crushed, ‘easily moulded to your face’ ice pack.

Step 2: Prepare your Face

Wash your face with soap, preferably an acne soap. Wash it thoroughly and if your skin remains oily wash it again. Dry your face but pat it dry with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY!

Step 3: Freeze that sucker

Take the ice pack out of the freezer, crush it further if it has frozen back into lumps and place it inside a thin hand towel. This will let the cold iciness come out without freezing your face to the plastic sandwich bag. Place the ice pack over the offending pimple or acne area and hold it there for at least 10 minutes. If it feels too ‘cold’ just keep going as your face will go numb and stop hurting soon. The ice pack freezes the pore and forces dirt and oil out of the infected area. Be careful not to move the ice pack around on your face. If you need to adjust it then take it straight off and re-apply. DO NOT WIPE IT ACROSS YOUR SKIN!

Step 4: Blast that sucker

Apply your choice of acne cream to your entire face. We recommend Noxzema or Clearasil as this seems to give the best results. Rub it especially well around the offending pimple or acne area. Once applied, leave for a minute and then wash off with water. Dry your face but pat it dry with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY!

Step 5: Repeat the Process

Wait 4 hours and then repeat Step 2 (Prepare your Face) and then Step 3 (Freeze that sucker) and then Step 4 (Blast that sucker). You should notice a considerable reduction in the size of the pimple or acne area already. At the end of the repeat of Step 4 though don’t remove the acne cream. Leave it on for at least 6 hours. This process is good just before bed and you can sleep with the acne cream mask on overnight.

Step 6: Final Face Wash

When you wake up (or at the end of at least 6 hours) wash off your acne cream with water. Give it a good rinse. Remember though – pat your face dry with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY! You should have no more pimple! If the pimple isn’t still quite gone then you can repeat Step 2 (Prepare your Face) and then Step 3 (Freeze that sucker) and then Step 4 (Blast that sucker) again if you have time before your big event.
